Projeto Formar – Extended Program
Program to integrate family-company-community
Introduction: For many reasons teenagers need to enter the job market earlier; among them acquiring a profession, feeling productive, fulfilling their citizen duties and earning money to live and pay for their future studies. This situation is currently getting more complicated due to unemployment, new demands of the job market, competition, lack of previous experience, etc.
Statistics published by IBGE in 1999 showed that the poorer the teenagers, the shorter they study, the earlier they start working and the less qualified positions in the job market they get. It is known that people who study for 9 to 11 years can earn up to 56% more than those who study for 5 to 8 years.
A study carried by Unicef in 2002 reveals that only 12,1% of young people who start working with no qualification are formally employed and 94% do not receive professional training for the work they perform.
To help to improve these facts, this project intends to promote a differentiated educational program for professional development, capable of preparing teenagers for their social as well as their professional life.
Objective: To help with the professional development of teenagers, providing them a way to increase their incomes without compromising future employment and gains.
